At most typical real estate companies, when the agent earns a commission, it is split with “the house” and have seen that be as high as 40-60%.  At RE/MAX Commercial Brokers, Inc. we have various commission split plans that range from 70% to 95% splits to the agent.  Agents make an investment every month that allows them to run their business more like an independent office. In multiple surveys the #1 reason why agents come to RE/MAX Commercial is Independence. Part of that is being able to independently decide how to best deploy the fees they’ve earned as an agent or broker-associate.
